Hey everyone, today I saw this man selling fresh fish, talking with customers, doing everything he could to make just one more sale. At first, I figured he was just another vendor out there trying to make a living.

But then I got a little closer, and I saw how hard it was for him to do even simple things. So I walked up and started talking to him. His name is Olavio. He told me that years ago, while he was working to support his family, he had a terrible accident involving a high-voltage power line. He survived — but he lost both arms. And even after everything that happened, he still has to work to put food on the table for his kids... Since he can't get hired anywhere, he sells fish... If he doesn't sell, he can't pay the bills. He's the only one bringing in income for his household. But what really got me was when I told him I wanted to buy some fish, but I only had a little money on me. Instead of turning down the sale, he lowered the price. He told me he knows what it's like to go hungry, and that he trusted God would repay him at another time.

So we started a fundraising campaign with a goal of $50,000 to help him strengthen his little business, get prosthetics so he can work in safer conditions, and give his kids a more stable life.
